UnKindness Of Ravens

Cosmic Macrodoxa emerged through the period of 2024 - 2025. In fact, the sources for this album accumulated over the course of the last twenty years. During that timeframe, recordings sat dormant on hard drives and tapes. New sounds flourished and technologies changed. What would UnKindness Of Ravens sound like after twenty years? Some experimentation of the past sounds commonplace now and some techniques no longer surprise. Reflecting on the question and state, we wondered what it would sound like to apply an UnKindness Of Ravens (UKOR) approach to something known—could it surprise the past? Could we apply it to itself? What do we want from UKOR if not the old experiments? It seems the answer is whatever feels good to make and intrigue through a listen.

Une présence brute fell together through 2024 and earlier. These are small sparks from working on the Cosmic Macrodoxa album and provoking the upcoming Room 181 album. These bits and pieces that did not fully grow into songs had a certain appeal. Those became a mini-album (EP?) in anticipation of Room 181.
